I'm digging into tiny home design.
I love love love the ideas that we have for our little space.
Recently my partner and I moved our space around to create a VERY tiny living area. It wasn't done arbitrarily, our little business needs the space so we had to make room.
Our current space has 1 "large" room like a studio apartment. There is a bathroom, and a kitchen and dining room combo. There is a hallway with storage closets you traverse through to get to the bathroom and you travel through the dining room to get to the kitchen. There is one large closet in the main room.
Right now the biggest room in the place is being used as our stop motion studio. The main room closet is now my office and my partner's office is in the hallway closet on the way to the bathroom. I took all the doors off the closets so there was a bit more elbow room. That leaves the dining room as our living space.
First I built a loft in and hung curtains down so that there would be some privacy for the bedroom. Then we moved our bed in there. We fold it up during the day and tie the curtains back to make it into a living space. We traded our old TV for a flat screen and moved the entertainment area to the opposite wall and that's where we are currently living. The space above the bed/living area is storage for my clothes, our guitar cases and extra bedding we don't use during the day.
It's amazing. We love it. This has only solidified that we want to build ourselves a tiny home and sooner rather than later.
