So Hilda is doing well. She's currently living inside half of an egg shell, that's nestled in a bunch of fresh wet romaine. I don't even have a lid on her little container. She just hangs out in there eating and healing up.
Her snail hospital is an old plastic seaweed container turned on it's side without the lid. She seems to think it's just a bit of snail heaven. It lets in sunlight but still has shade because I didn't remove the wrapper (she likes to hide under there from the sun). It's also square, so I can put it on it's side. I like the idea that she can leave any time she wants, and if I find her venturing out of her "room" than I will take that as a request to put her outside.
It's like a home inside a home!
